ITA membership comes in various categories, some available only to individuals, some to firms and corporations, and others to academic, government, arbitral or other non-profit institutions. Except for the entry-level membership for individual young professionals, all members receive these benefits:

  • One or more Advisory Board representatives
  • Free attendance for each Advisory Board representative at either the Annual Workshop in Dallas or the Americas Workshop in Latin America
  • Free attendance for each Advisory Board representative and a guest at the reception and dinner during the Annual Workshop in Dallas
  • Free attendance for each Advisory Board representative at the ITA Forum
  • Member discount (≈20%) at other ITA programs
  • Free subscription to the ITA’s newsletter, News and Notes, with its Scoreboard of Adherence to Transnational Arbitration Treaties
  • The opportunity to participate in the committees, leadership and other activities of the Advisory Board
  • Recognition as an Advisory Board member in ITA and CAIL publications
  • If qualified, the right to appear on the IEL Energy Arbitrators List
  • 20% discount on books published by the Oxford University Press in collaboration with the ITA
  • Member discounts (≈20%) on ITA educational USBs, DVDs, webinars and online video products
  • 50% tuition discount at the annual SWIICL Global Markets Symposium in June

Corporation / Firm / Organization Membership Levels

Sustaining Membership - $6,000 Annual Dues

  • Eight Advisory Board representatives (two under 40)
  • The right to designate an unlimited number of additional Advisory Board representatives for $500 each
  • The right to designate up to four additional Advisory Board members under 40 for $300 each
  • All employees entitled to member discount at ITA programs
  • Recognition as a Sustaining Member in pertinent ITA and CAIL publications

Supporting Membership - $3,000 Annual Dues

  • Four Advisory Board representatives (one under 40)
  • The right to designate an unlimited number of additional Advisory Board representatives for $600 each
  • The right to designate up to two additional Advisory Board members under 40 for $300 each
  • All employees entitled to member discount at ITA programs
  • Recognition as a Supporting Member in pertinent ITA and CAIL publications

Sponsoring Membership - $1,250 Annual Dues

  • One Advisory Board representative
  • Choice of appearing in membership lists by firm name or individual name
  • Recognition as a Sponsoring Member in pertinent ITA and CAIL publications

Academic / Government / Non-profit Membership - $395 Annual Dues

  • Available to universities, government agencies, judicial and arbitral institutions, non-profit corporations and full time employees of such organizations
  • One Advisory Board representative
  • Recognition as an Academic/Government/Non-Profit Member in pertinent ITA and CAIL publications

Arbitral Institution Membership - By Invitation Only

  • Available to select arbitral institutions with significant international case loads
  • One Advisory Board representative
  • An opportunity to co-sponsor the Americas Workshop in Latin America
  • Recognition as an Arbitral Institution Member in pertinent ITA and CAIL publications

Individual Membership Levels

Sponsoring Membership - $1,250 Annual Dues

  • One Advisory Board representative
  • Choice of appearing in membership lists by firm name or individual name
  • Recognition as a Sponsoring Member in pertinent ITA and CAIL publications

Associate Membership - $725 Annual Dues

  • Member is Advisory Board representative
  • Appears in membership lists under member’s name
  • Recognition as an Associate Member in pertinent ITA and CAIL publications

Academic / Government / Non-profit Membership - $395 Annual Dues

  • Available to universities, government agencies, judicial and arbitral institutions, non-profit corporations and full time employees of such organizations
  • One Advisory Board representative
  • Recognition as an Academic/Government/Non-Profit Member in pertinent ITA and CAIL publications

Young ITA Membership - $0 Annual Dues
(Individuals under 40)

  • Membership in ITA as a Young ITA Member (does not include membership on the Advisory Board)
  • Free attendance at Young ITA programs and meetings and the annual ITA Forum in Dallas
  • Member discount at the annual ITA Workshop and all other ITA programs
  • Member discount for all ITA publications and online educational video products
  • Opportunity to serve in the Young ITA leadership
  • Opportunity to participate in Young ITA online fora
  • Free subscription to the ITA e-newsletter News & Notes
