A Message from the Director Regarding COVID-19

The Institute for Law Enforcement Administration (ILEA) is committed to slow the spread of the coronavirus accordingly:

  • We have cancelled or postponed all in-person programs through June 2020. For further details per program, please visit our webpage.
  • While our work continues, our offices are now closed. Our team remains on duty, working remotely until further notice.

We continue to monitor the coronavirus daily, with paramount concern for the health and safety of our participants, facilitators, team members and the public at large. We are monitoring the guidance provided by U.S. and local government authorities, including the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In this rapidly evolving environment, we encourage everyone to consult the CDC’s guidance, including its frequently asked questions,  travel FAQs related to COVID-19, its prevention guidance, and its updated travel notices.

At this challenging time for all, we very much appreciate your support of the ILEA and all the divisions of our parent organization the Center for American and International Law and our common mission to promote justice and the rule of law through education in the United States and around the world.

Gregory Smith
Vice President for Law Enforcement Education and
Director, Institute for Law Enforcement Administration
