Alumni Aid in Lebanese ISF Education

From November 5 through November 16, 10 Generals and three Colonels from the Lebanese Internal Security Force (ISF) engaged in learning about American police administrative practices, ethical policing and leadership at the ILEA facility in Plano, Texas. Several ILEA alumni assisted in the facilitation of this learning initiative. Chief Douglas Kowalski, McKinney Police Department (ret.) taught a session on Policing in a Connected World. Chief Kowalski provided an overview of the significance of the US Constitution to American policing and an orientation to the global impact of US policing in the 21st century. Assistant Chief Randy Roland, McKinney PD provided a tour of the McKinney Police Department for our visitors. Chief David James, Carrollton PD (ret.) taught a detailed session on Servant Leadership. This was the sixth group of police commanders from the Lebanese ISF to visit ILEA under a grant from the US Department of State for this training. Our thanks are extended to Chiefs Kowalski, James and Roland for their assistance.
