The Institute for Energy Law’s 4th Law of Shale Plays Conference will be held on June 6 and 7, in Fort Worth’s historic Hilton Hotel.
Co-chaired by David Poole (Range Resources) and Barclay Nicholson (Fulbright & Jaworski), this year’s program will cover legal and policy issues of interest to lawyers, landmen and negotiators practicing in shale oil and gas and related matters. Highlights will include public relations and social aspects of shale plays and how they intersect with the law; challenges caused by the Endangered Species Act; shale gas and national security; shale around the world; SEC requirements and shareholder activism; communities and hydraulic fracturing operations, and much more. The ever-popular general counsel panel, plus litigation, regulation and environmental updates will all be included.
