Overview

Update as of 11/14/2017:  We regret to inform that featured speaker Terence MacCarthy will not be able to join us in person for this program.  We will be featuring him electronically via video and Skype. A revised schedule will soon be posted with more details. Questions? Contact CAIL Staff at 972.244.3415.

This program will be helpful both to defense lawyers experienced in cross examination techniques and those who are not. Keynote speaker Terence F. MacCarthy is one of the country's leading authorities on cross-examination and will focus lectures and discussions on effective cross examination skills and impeachment of a prosecution witness. This non-capital course features lectures, trial practice sessions, three hours of ethics, and is co-chaired by Rick Wardroup (TCDLA), Tony Odiorne (Attorney At Law), & Robbie McClung (McClung & Franklin).

This course is funded by a grant from the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.
